Hi Taco,

They are going through their code now.
I will see whether they want to try your suggestion.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Kind regards

Colin

Hi Colin,

Have they tried if their code works with PHP 7?
My experience is that a lot of older code still works fine with PHP7, whilst PHP 8 deprecated a lot of older functions.

Thanks Michael

The only PHP version for 5210R that doesn't have the JSON extension is
the PHP-5.6.40. Which is also the *only* PHP-5 version available for 5210R.

The thing here is that at the time 5210R was shipped, PHP-5 was already
obsolete and EOL. I did my best to still roll up *something* to allow
transition of older Vsites from 5209R to 5210R, but I could not include
the JSON extension in PHP-5.6.40 as the compilation of PHP would then
fail due to the OS being much more modern that this ancient PHP expected.

I will break the good news to them. 😊

Kind regards

Colin
