This is what I did

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 258288 Nov  6 15:30 libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root     30 Nov  6 15:30 libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 ->
libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.so

It’s a symbolic Link to  libstdc++-2-libc6.1-1-2.9.0.so

Cant remember if I just copied this from bluequartz or managed to get tha
RPM from somewhere,

I will try to find my notes and report back, I just remember it took me less
than 30 minutes to get it working.

It was mostlikely brought in through yum

Just for the Curious, I manged to install pptp To VPN to windows Servers,
And Also Install Iseries Access to connecto to IBM db2 Databases through
odbc.

Can be used in PHP through odbc and with Chilisoft natively. Chilisoft is
still pretty fast.

The only "ugly" thing I did was to install an old openmotif rpm so I could
get past the Iseries dependencies and then upgraded through yum to the
Centos5 Version.

Hi Rodrigo

I got as far as ./install.sh and getting dependency issues
Libstdc++-libc6.1-1so.2 is missing. I have tried yum install on libstdc and
libc but it is still not getting anywhere.

How did you manage to install it?

I understand its EOL but I use the basics only from it and it has worked
perfectly on BQ with mysql + php.

Kit

I am currently Running Chilisoft on Blueonyx.

I installed it with the last version downloadale from SUN.

Havent tested it much, But is is possible without much effort.

It installs globally so it is enabled on all sites , there is no GUI
integration, but maybe a merger can be made from the bluequartz package.

Quote from http://www.sun.com/software/chilisoft/

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------
Sun Java System Active Server Pages has entered its End Of Life (EOL)
process and can no longer be purchased. Key dates for the EOL process are:

    * Last Order Date June 08, 2007
    * Last Ship Date: September 07, 2007
    * End Of Service Life Date: August 10, 2012

Users of Sun Active Server Pages are encouraged to begin evaluating
alternative server-side scripting technologies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------

In other words: "It's dead, Jim."

So there really is no point to integrate Chilisoft ASP / Sun Java System
Active Server Pages into BlueOnyx. Even if it would run with Apache 2.2
(which it probably won't), you can't buy the license anymore and patch
support for it would be virtually non-existent. We all know how sloppy Sun
gets with patches once they EOL something.
