[BlueOnyx:03424] PHP allowed path

I seem to be having an issue with the allowed path on my BO server
does anybody have an idea how to fix?

PHP Warning:  file_exists() [<a 
href='function.file-exists'>function.file-exists</a>]: open_basedir 
restriction in effect. 
File(/home/sites/www.mydomain.com/web/files/Image/bassopens.jpg) is not 
within the allowed path(s): 
(/tmp:/var/lib/php/session:/home/.sites/148/site6/) in 
/home/.sites/148/site6/web/admin/upload.php on line 138, referer: 
http://www.mydomain.com/admin/index.php?pg=upload&action=dirlist&path=&folder=Image
