Michael,

I discovered by issue with the dev site.  I can sheepishly grin in 
shame.  I had forgotten I had done a touch index.html which was then 
blockig the index.php from showing.  I removed that, enabled suPHP, 
set the web ownership, etc..  The ultimate test though was to remove 
the chmod 777 from a specific directory that handles template caches 
for the site.  When I changed it to 755, the site failed.  Putting it 
back to chmod 777 the site worked.

I still also have the issue with the production fusebox script.  Now, 
I am getting a 500 Internal Server error though.
