I guess your sendmail.cf got modified somehow.

Check /etc/mail/sendmail.cf and find the line that starts with ...

O DontBlameSendmail=

It ought to look like this:

O DontBlameSendmail=forwardfileingroupwritabledirpath, 
ForwardFileInUnsafeDirPath, ForwardFileInUnsafeDirPathSafe

(all in one line!)

If it doesn't, then change that line like in my example above and then restart 
Sendmail.
