Yeah, the flurry of Swatch updates was supposed to fix this. The Swatch update 
released last night finally has the issue tackled.

The cronjob that used to run swatch directly now calls a shell script instead. 
And that script uses lockfiles to make sure that Swatch only runs one instance 
at any given time.
