Whoa! Let's not get carried away.

Yes, Tomcat is a Java interpreter, designed to interpret Java code 
server-side.

JavaScript, however, is an entirely different animal and has nothing to 
do with Tomcat since JavaScript is interpreted client-side in a browser.

Whatever issue there may be, it's not Tomcat.
