Does sendmail.mc support include files?  If so, you could use that for your mods.

Hi guys,

I've manually modified my sendmail.mc (and sendmail.cf of course) to add greylist, spamassassin and clamav (+milters) support. It worked fine until last automatic yum update yesterday, which break it with a default sendmail.mc. I had a backup of my .mc and could come back to my modifications, but is there a way to tell to yum to update sendmail but keep the config ??
