I think I see one problem......

That's like going to Apple and asking they why your brand-new, fancy IPOD won't plug in and work with the original radio in your '56 Chevy!  Or asking Micro$oft why their fancy Windows7 won't run on your Tandy1000!

Running new software like BX on antique hardware is always going to have problems.  And asking the volunteer developers who help us maintain that software isn't fair.  While some might like the challenge of getting it to work - many will have so much on their plate already that they don't have time to work on "fun projects".

A suggestion - find a old desktop that has been replaced as "obsolete".  Load and test BX on that.  You'll find it runs a lot better than a old RAQ4.  I've got a garage full of old PCs, and they work great as test boxes.
