It has been my experience that unticking the MySQL database enable box and
re-enabling it deleted the old database. Not nice. J

Jeff,

phpMyAdmin tries to access your database with the user/password you have set
under Site Management, *Your Site*, Services, Web. The most probable cause
for your problems is that this user/pw there is not valid anymore in the
MySQL server. Make sure you change the MySQL user/pw in MySQL to whatever
the control panel says.
Do not disable MySQL services for your site, this could and probably will
destroy your database completely.

Cheers,
Christoph

Thanks Christoph--I can access a login screen for phpMyAdmin using your
method, but it doesn't appear to let me in even though I logged into BO with
a vsite admin account and used the vsite admin credentials to log into
phpMyAdmin (which are the same as the mySQL credentials).

Is there a security setting I need to enable to allow users to enter
phpMyAdmin (something I'm neglecting to enable)?

The idea is that Site-Admins login through the BlueOnyx control panel and
select Personal Profile and then phpMyAdmin. This way they do not have to
enter separate credentials. The same works for Webmail for every user.

Hope this helps,
Christoph

By the way, what is the standard public URL for phpmyadmin on BlueOnyx? It
used to be http://vsite/phpmyadmin in BlueQuartz, but I've not been able to
get it to work since migrating to BO.

As a server administrator, I see it in the menu under Security > phpMyAdmin
but can't figure out how to give customers access to it. Ideas?

I can't seem to access phpMyAdmin. I last used it about a month or so ago. I
suspect that some update since then has had an adverse affect.

When I try to access it, all I see is "Connecting to <nodename>" repeatedly
flashing at the bottom of the browser window (FireFox 5.0). phpMyAdmin never
opens.

What could be wrong?

Hi,

My girlfriend had the exact same issue. I tried with IE8 and it worked... So
either something with FF or the latest updates.
