I know jack about Yum, but I've learned quite a bit in the last day and
a half. At least 4 hours studying how it works, and all that to find out
I forgot:

yum clean all

AND he had an old tarball without --exclude=base-maillist directive. So
I figured that out. Sorry if I wasted your time. Thank you again.
