[BlueOnyx:07826] SMTP CRAM-MD5 Auth

Seems that Nokia devices want to use CRAM-MD5 Auth for sending mail. But
authentication always fails using that method. DIGEST-MD5 also seems to fail
on Outlook. Anybody else having problems with this? Solutions?

 

Command: AUTH DIGEST-MD5\r\n

Response: 535 5.7.0 authentication failed\r\n

 

Command: AUTH CRAM-MD5\r\n

Response: 535 5.7.0 authentication failed\r\n

 

Removed the CRAM-MD5 from /etc/mail/sendmail.mc and now it works on Nokia
devices but Outlook still skips DIGEST-MD5 as it fails.

What's the advised connection method for secure mail login?
