Hi Grant,
I would suggest this on the 5108R system, assuming that all of your DNS
records can be wiped and then imported from the 5106R system:
1. Run /usr/sausalito/sbin/dnsDeleteAllRecords.pl
You will need to use --delete-confirm to have effect.
This will erase all the DNS records on the system.
2. Copy the contents of the 5106R boxes /etc/named/ to an import folder
on the 5108R (don't just put it in /etc/named).
3. Run /sbin/dnsImport.pl PATHTOZONEFILES
4. Restart Bind with /etc/init.d/named restart
You may run into some errors with duplicate zones or entries just
because the import isn't flawless. To cure, take a look in the GUI and
make sure that no invalid reverse zones exist. It's probably easiest to
just delete any reverse zones (ie: networks).
That ought to work for you. Good luck.
