Now that's a neat idea!

In good old BQ personal webs were accessed using http://www.somedomain.net/~<username>

You could just create 2 users with the companies names and access them with /~company-a or /~company-b - sounds fine to security wise as well.

Having an .htaccess for each would require login credentials to make it even more secure.
