I disagree. I run 4 servers. Each has Dual Xeon's and 16GB of RAM. 
I run about 50 business sites with a total of about 400 users. We do full
SPAM and AV scanning on the box and they run great.

I can tell you in the past when we ran lower spec hardware it would work but
not leave as much overhead for a SPAM burst or something. More and more
customers are running database CMS systems like WordPress and Joomla so the
speed and memory really help out there too. Nightly backup used to take
FOREVER. Now they average 20-30 min to run a full CMUExport and ftp to a
separate machine.

I have them from Chris at Virtbiz and they have been great (knock on wood).
