[BlueOnyx:14649] PAE Kernel stopped recognizing extra 4GB of RAM

Last year, we installed an extra 4GB of RAM last year, for a total of 8GB on my BO box. We also installed PAE kernel, tested it, and it was reading all 8GB. Sometime in the last 2 weeks, it stopped recognizing the extra 4GB. We ran a memtest and all 8GB passed with no problems. Any thoughts on why PAE isn't seeing the extra 4GB?
