Hi Tom,

If you have choosen to compress the *.xml-files to a single archive 
you'll have a file called hostname.of.source.cmu-xml-files.tar.gz 
instead of the *.xml-files. You have to untar the archive with tar zxvf 
hostname.of.source.cmu-xml-files.tar.gz first. Move the files to your 
restore-directory /home/restore.
