[BlueOnyx:16553] vestige of the FTP recovery?

Folks,
As you know, we had a loss of FTP several weeks back, as part of an update. 
Since then, my "logwatch" has been 400% normal size (58k instead of 14k average). I find a whole series of the following lines each day (I will quote a few lines of the logwatch .. but there are dozens.)

Although they appear to be dovecot driven ... could this be a remnant from something during the FTP issue, and is there a fix for this?
