[BlueOnyx:17489] 5209R install does not quite complete on ESXi

Installing from BlueOnyx-5209R-CentOS-7.1-BETA-20150404.iso on ESXi 5.0; 28GB SAN disk.

I can't tell how much of this is just me being a noob (and still a linux novice, too), but I'm having problems getting the install to work completely. [I was able to successfully install from this ISO on an old, physical computer at home.]

The install appears to work successfully using the automatic partitioning option; I only have to configure the network (IPV4) and reclaim the disk space (from the previous time(s) I have tried to get this working.)

After the install reports as complete, I click the reboot button on the install screen to reboot the system. The first clue I have that something did not work correctly is that I am NOT prompted with "To finish setup simply login in as "root" with password "blueonyx"". [It looks like that prompt was supposed to be added by /root/finish_setup.sh, which is in my login directory.]

I do try to login to http://<host>/login in my browser as instructed in the README.1ST, but the admin account does not seem to have been created. Looking at the passwd file, it is not there.

FWIW - I did also try with the BlueOnyx-5209R-CentOS-7-BETA-20150304.iso kit, but that did not work any better.

Any ideas where to look for clues as to what did and did not work in the install are appreciated.
