Hi Michael,

I am new to this list and to BLueOnyx (but had deployed Cobalt RaQ2 and
BlueQuartz before). Need some help with the installation.

I downloaded the 5209R ISO at
http://updates.blueonyx.it/pub/BlueOnyx/ISO/BlueOnyx-5209R-CentOS-7.1-BETA-20150907.iso
(on 2015.09.26), and installed that on 2x 3TB HDs (to run RAID1 ... which
seems to be going ok, kudos!)

(Further to the thread referenced below ...)

1. I am running into the "first yum update stalled" issue. I noticed you
said you were creating another ISO, but I see that
<BlueOnyx-5209R-CentOS-7.1-BETA-20150907.iso> is still what's latest under
http://updates.blueonyx.it/pub/BlueOnyx/ISO/ ... is a new ISO going to be
available soon? (when, please?)

2. after the install, I pointed my browser to http://{my-5209R-ip-addr}/login
and entered the required detailed on the GUI. When I got to "finish" page
the GUI stalled there.

3. Any help to move forward from the above (1 & 2) is appreciated.

4. Would doing a manual install as instructed at:
http://www.blueonyx.it/index.php?page=5209r-manual-install circumvent the
above issues?

Thanks in advance,
Peter

Sadly I can totally see that happening. :-(

It's one of those ridiculous Systemd issues that I had to work around.
This makes "yum updating" sausalito-cce-* right after a CD install
problematic.

There are some setup tasks that CCEd needs to finish. Before EL7 that
was done during first boot after CD install. So by the time you got to
the initial setup this was all done and finished.

Now with the parallel bootup of tasks of Systemd this is no longer an
option. Instead during first boot CCEd needs NOT to start. At least not
until the initial shell based setup is finished.

Well, sausalito-cce is fairly stable these days and it won't update
often anymore. But I will need to keep in mind to build a new 5209R CD
whenever it does.

I'm building a new 5209R ISO at the moment which then already has the
latest sausalito-cce.
