OK, so follow up to my own post. I figured out I needed to restart
cced.init.

 

So I did that and then I also realized I was using the wrong command to
start named so I now am trying:

systemctl restart named-chroot

 

Now I get "Job for named-chroot.service canceled." And if I check the status
I see:

named-chroot.service start operation timed out. Terminating.

 

Any suggestions about why it times out while starting up?
