Fixed. I tried to generate a new let's encrypt certificate, but the
vsite had an alias that did not point to this ip address. Perhaps that
caused the renewal problem. I removed that alias from the let's encrypt
request, and it successfully generated a new certificate. I will keep an
eye on renewals two months from now.
