Hi,
if I may chime in here on pbx's...
I've run both free-pbx on their appliance and self-installed in a proxmox lxc-container for years, no issues more than that the base OSes are starting to be very EOL.
FreePBX and Asterisk runs as stable as it gets on both platforms.
So, my 2 cents here is: download a stable ISO and install it as a KVM vm under Incus (if and when Michael has it finished and released), configure and forget.
Asterisk is very lenient on resources and doesn't need any special access to hardware as long as you stay with SIP and don't touch ISDN/POTS.
Best regards,
Rickard

Hi Arie,
Are there out-of-the-box packages to run pbx/sip(trunk) servers on BO or
Almalinux?
As Chris said: That's something I wouldn't recommend to install directly
on a BlueOnyx. Inside an Incus CT via Aventurin{e} 6110R on a BlueOnyx
5211R maybe. See: https://www.aventurin.net/
But even containerized there may be issues, as the container
virtualization doesn't grant full access to specialized devices that may
or may not be needed for SIP. So I'm not sure if FreePBX would run in an
Incus Container, as I haven't tried that yet.
