Yeah, the Perl modules that your MailScanner install "forced" aboard are now 
causing conflicts.

One way to solve it is to run the following command as "root" from SSH:

rpm -hUv --force 
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/os/i386/CentOS/perl-5.8.8-18.el5.i386.rpm

That goes all into one line. 

Afterwards you may be able to run "yum update" again.
