I confirm This prbolem again,

An install of the first release fully yummed, 

I cannot send email through squirrelmail,

Changed the php.ini file in /etc/php.ini to allow the use of  popen and
escapeshellcmd, 

Just in case someone has the same problems will search the list an know
where to look.

No idea. You tried on a fresh install?
