than an application setting. The application is set with a valid email
address and the "From:" field is good.

Expanding the mail header shows that the transport of the mail adds the
following:

Received: (from apache at localhost)

I could be wrong, but it looks to me like a server mail setting.

If it is any help, the application is Cre Loaded's version of oscommerce
