I created a test file at http://www.greasecutters.com/test.php and php WILL
run, just not my original script.

I saw the sitenn listed, when I did an ls so I attempted a chown, but
everything comes back as operation not permitted. Im logged in as the main
server admin acct.

Hi Roy

It might be that the php scripts are no longer owned by the site admin, or
that there is no site admin defined since the migration. Can you confirm
there is a site admin?

Also, if you use the shell and view a directory listing, do you have
username.sitenn listed or just numbers. If the latter, it might be well to
run chown -R [siteadmin].site[nn] * on the directory with the scripts.

Another thing to try is to upload a test.php file which contains <?
phpinfo(); ?> which will prove php is working with permissions. Get this
working first then you can work out if it's permissions, server or php not
enabled.

Will do, but generally if I enable it, I either get a warning that a user
doesn't have permissions, or I just get a blank screen.

I assumed you might be able to see more in the php disabled state.

Right now your PHP is disabled for this website, enable it so we can view
the error messages.

They have probably something to do with BO having a newer PHP version.

Sorry, to clarify, I went from a BlueQuartz box to a BlueOnyx box. I really
need to sleep more before posting to the forums.

Sorry for the confusion

This may seem obvious to most, but to me I'm lost.

On one of our sites, we used a PHP based contact form that worked well.
After migrating from BX to BQ, the form no longer works and I don't quite
understand why. With PHP disabled (by default) the page loads but with
garbage in the form data fields.

If I turn on PHP to the site I get various permissions errors to simple
blank screens depending on what settings options I choose.

Anyone have any ideas on how to (easily) correct the issue? The form in
question is below:

http://www.greasecutters.com/contact_us.php

Is there a way to make the BO match permissions/settings of the old BX
boxes? Need to have the forms rebuilt to play nice with the new settings?
Need to start drinking heavily?

TIA

-Roy
