php version has little to do with the CentOS version.
php-5.1.6 is for the system. httpd and admserv

there are packages available to upgrade php, solarspeed is one of the
providers. php-5.2.17 and php-5.3.6

In the upgrade case. apache uses the upgraded version and admserv still
uses the older version
