Hi All

I got a strange problem with the Apache Logging and Blue Onyx Logsplitting (possibly since the last updates):

System:
- Centos 5.5 Final, Blue Onyx 5106R
- Last "yum update" on September 5 2012
- Problem started on September 18 2012

Problem:

1)
In the Log Directory of all Vsites the Web Logfile has no longer the Logfile name "web.log" but instead of it "web.daily":

******
[root at lolz logs]# ls -la
total 84404
drwxr-s--x 4 SITE37-logs site37 4096 Sep 25 16:50 .
drwxrwsr-x 6 nobody site37 4096 Sep 28 2011 ..
drwxrws--- 6 SITE37-logs site37 4096 Dec 3 2011 2011
drwxrws--- 11 SITE37-logs site37 4096 Sep 2 04:13 2012
-rw-rw---- 1 SITE37-logs site37 719687 Sep 25 16:50 web.daily
-rw-rw---- 1 SITE37-logs site37 81490870 Sep 18 04:06 web.log
-rw-rw---- 1 SITE37-logs site37 4017998 Apr 11 2012 web.log.1.gz
******

This is the same in every vsite. The last "web.log" in ever vsite has the date 18 September. So it looks like this behavior has started at this date (13 days after the yum update).

2)
Neither the new "web.daily" nor the old "web.log" Files in the vsite Logdirectories are growing anymore. The main logfile in "/var/log/httpd/access.log" instead is getting bigger and bigger. So the log splitting of this main log into the separate vsites log doesnt work anymore. The first entry is:

www.xxx.com 91.230.110.99 - - [18/Sep/2012:04:06:32 +0200] "GET /en/hotel-altein-bli-blo/rates-packages/winter-packages.html HTTP/1.1" 200 19136 "-" "-"

So from 18 September. The last entry in the main log file is from now. So Apache logging works.

I dont see why the logfile names has changes and i dont find out why the log splitting doesnt work anymore.

The /etc/logrotate.d/apache file which does the splitting via pre-/postrotate task has not changes since a while

[root at lolz logs]# ls -la /etc/logrotate.d/apache
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1576 Apr 1 2012 /etc/logrotate.d/apache

Any advice on this one?

Best Regards
