Replacing the  username with the relevant user name, Chris from  Virtbiz, found this fix for me when I had the same problem

Tried logging in, even though the error, but same result

When I got that error, in the history log in the /home/.sites/33/site5/.users/95/username/.openwebmail/   it may show an error trying
To update the index of certain folders, in my case it was spam-mail, mail-trash & virus-mail, I removed these and re ran the openwebmail-tool and it worked.

Strange that for some users it worked first time with the command and others I had to remove some folders.
