I have a server with dovecot problems

dovecot: master: Error: service(imap-login): listen(::, 993) failed:
Address family not supported by protocol
Sep 24 14:12:32 msi dovecot: master: Fatal:
Failed to start listeners

googling indicates ipv6 issues
tried some of the fixes listen = *, :: to listen = * and protocols to
various options
