Ok, there are two things you can check:

Run "tail -f /var/log/messages" while you hit "Save" and see if and
where it gets stuck or if it shows anything out of the ordinary.

Additionally: If the loading bar still shows after two minutes, press
ESC and check all tabs to see if there is an error message under one of
the form fields somewhere.
