[BlueOnyx:18884] FTP Time

Is there a way to set a time out to discount for no activity on
a vps 5209R.
I found this
http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/howto-ensure-ftp-client-does-not-disconnect/

|vi /etc/proftpd.conf
but the file does not have this at all
||TimeoutNoTransfer 300
Should I add it?
