I've never seen that one before. At least not with the AV-SPAM. For
diagnosis you might want to check the process list ("ps axf") to see if
there is an undue amount of processes open and what kind of processes
that are. This might not even be related to the AV-SPAM itself.

Additionally: "lsof -n" will list all open files (and sockets) and you
could take a peek at that to identify what exactly is open and how many
open files there actually are.

There is a good chance that this points at the culprit.
