Good evening all,

I have a client who needs to be able to create DIR(s), put a file(s) in
them and then give his clients the URL(s) for the DIR(s), they see
file(s) in the DIR and then can click to download the file(s)

Yea I know why doesn't my client just send then the direct URL to the
file...........?    HE IS LAZY!!!!!!
(we won't even go into how he doesn't get "lower case, no spaces, or
weird chars" in file names)

So... how do I turn on directory listing while keeping index.html,
inde.php, etc working properly?

I have messed with the site's conf file and can't get it to work

I CAN get directory listing to work if I add this to the site's conf file

<Directory /home/.sites/31/site36/web>
DirectoryIndex disabled
Options Indexes
</Directory>

#reload apache

But then none of the index.html or .php files work (when you hit the
sites root)

I must be missing something?

I read where this could be done via a .htaccess but again THE CLIENT IS
LAZY. Hhe would never create a htaccess for each dir he wanted open

Thanks

--Tim
