[BlueOnyx:24180] AVSPAM Outbound scanning

I recently upgraded to a 5210R and this new server is very fast. However
users have still been complaining of email being slow to be sent so I dug
into the logs and it appears that even though I have AVSPAM set to NOT check
outbound email it still is.

 

Here is the front of a logfile section:

Aug 12 11:16:27 sb sendmail[1715787]: 07CIG77J1715787: Milter add: header:
X-Spam-Status: No, score=-300.3 required=1.

 

So you can see where the admin user connected at 11:16:07 and it then took a
full 20 seconds to scan this simple text only email through SPAM Assassin. I
have unticked the Scan outgoing email box in the AVSPAM settings and this
user is using SMTPAuth (As I require for all users).

 

Is this a bug?
