Thanks Michael
For many of our sites we do not have users. The sites simply redirect to another URL. In the past this was not an issue with LetsEncrypt.
We didn't set user "admin" as "SiteAdmin that owns /web". I don't know how suddenly admin is appearing as Web Owner of Virtual Sites.
Do we really have to create a user (with siteAdmin rights) for every Vsite? It would be very tedious to do this for a 100 Vsites.
Best regards
Felix

Yes, there was a recent change to base-ssl. We had checks that test if the Vsite and the siteAdmin who owns /web have enough quota before we request or renew SSL certificates. Because otherwise (w/o enough space) 0-byte (empty) certificate files would be written and that would take Apache down.
The check for sufficient Vsite quota has always worked. The one for the siteAdmin? That needed refinement.
In your case it is very likely that the "SiteAdmin that owns" is either over quota, or has less than 1MB of free space. OR (as you indicate): If that owner has indeed the name "admin" (same as the admin account of the
GUI) then that's just plain wrong:
User "admin" cannot be a "SiteAdmin that owns /web".
Please change that setting to another user who has siteAdmin rights for the Vsite in question *and* has enough free disk space assigned.
