I haven't seen anything other than a few topics in the list... But I  
haven't had any issues (except SquirrelMail) by setting suPHP, then  
setting web ownership to the site's admin. Wordpress works fine with  
that config.

Never had an issue as long as the site's admin is the one doing the  
ftp uploads.
