No, that's - with absolute certainity - not related to any update. I know the 
RPMs of the latest update inside out and they only replace files that the 
original RPMs brought aboard in first place. Even then config files aren't 
replaced if the existing config file has been modified. There are absolutely 
no provisions in those RPMs to mess with any shell scripts in /home.
