Hi
The machine just crashed again and its been restarted. No, there is no
chance of looking at the console... the machine doesnt respond to anything
no console, no network, no ssh, etc. Glad to know VMWare is reliable so
its definitely the server.
Thanks, Richard

Richard,
Yes definitively yes.
We are running several BX (5106R 5209R) on vmware. We are using vmware 5.5
and use presets for centos 64bit (32bit on 5106R). And we have no problems
at all.
Maybe you can have an eye on the console. Maybe you can see something while
systems reboots.
Best regards,
Dirk

Betreff: [BlueOnyx:18227] BX VM on VMWare repeatedly crashing
Hi. Weve got a virtual server on VMWare ESXi which crashes about every two
days.
It has 2Gb of memory, plenty of processor time, etc. All it does is run
about a dozen not-so-busy Wordpress sites. There is nothing obvious in the
logs for web activity and nothing particularly notable in either messages
log or secure log.
My question is what can I do to find out what is happening? I look at logs
for a clue each time it is restarted but keep coming up with nothing. Is a
BX VM usually fine on VMWare ESXi?
Thanks for the help. Richard
