It is not working properly.

I assume your using the console port to observe the system.
Changing the IP address should not affect the server other than you
would not be able to connect using that IP.

I usually setup the 2nd Ethernet port to a private IP for access.

Since you are at the console, maybe Ctrl-Alt-Delete will restart?

At any rate - do not take it to the data center, until fixed
