Stuff on Epel works fine on AlmaLinux as well. That's no problem.

However: There is stuff on Epel that conflicts and overrides programs
that ship with BlueOnyx.

So you can *install* RPMs from EPEL, but you should rather not let EPEL
RPMs override and update RPMs that already came with BlueOnyx.

Running a "yum update" (like the daily YUM update cronjob) while the
EPEL repository is enabled *will* result in a damaged BlueOnyx install.

That said: You can enabled Epel and can run "yum install ddclient". But
right afterwards you should run "yum remove epel-release" to disable and
remove the EPEL repository config file to prevent any further problems.
