Mac,

I am running BX on two dell 1850's, one with 4 gig of ram (5106R) and 
one with 7 gig of Ram (5108R)

The machines only cost me ~ $350 each and I am very very happy at this 
point.

I don't even feel the need to go with a more powerful machine.... yet 
that is...

I'm sure on e of these days they will both start to slow down and I will 
need to upgrade but for now the 1850's have plenty of power.

My next move will be to buy  hardware that can deal with virtualization 
which I am guessing would take it's toll on my current hardware?

All that being said.......  I defer to the real pros. on this list.

As you can see you don't need much to make it run.
